Jeans Pant

Jeans Pant

  • Fabric: Primarily denim, a twill fabric traditionally made from cotton fibers (for breathability and comfort) with a weft thread that goes under two or more warp threads, creating a diagonal pattern.
  • Denim weight: Measured in ounces per square yard (oz/yd²) or grams per square meter (gsm). Lighter weights (around 8-12 oz/yd²) are ideal for warmer weather and drape more easily, while heavier weights (12-16 oz/yd² and above) offer more structure and durability.
  • Stretch: Traditionally non-stretch (100% cotton denim) for a rigid feel, but modern jeans often incorporate elastane or Lycra® for stretch and comfort.
  • Straight leg: Classic cut with a straight silhouette from hip to ankle.
  • Bootcut: Slightly flared leg opening to fit over boots.
  • Skinny: Tight-fitting throughout the leg.
  • Slim: Fitted through the hips and thighs but looser than skinny at the ankle.
  • Relaxed: Looser fit throughout the leg for comfort.
